A Message from our Founder, Robyn Renner
In the year 2000, my doctors told me that I had six months or less to live. They had just found six tumors in my head. After more chemotherapy and proton radiation treatments than I ever care to remember… I proved the doctors wrong. Here I am… alive and tumor free! Not many cancer patients are as lucky as I. Over 40% of patients don’t survive cancer.
With my faith, the encouragement of others, and the damn determination to get rid of this rotten disease I won my battle. So now it is time to give something in return. I am producing “Rundown For Life”, a mounted shooting special event unlike all others! With more than 10 million cancer survivors in the U.S. today, it’s time for all of us to step up and fight back! In our own Mounted Shooting society, I have met so many shooters that have shared their own story. I have been moved by their heartfelt emotions and the experiences they have shared with me. So I am inviting you to join “Rundown For Life” and raise funds to help cancer research and support organizations fight this battle against cancer.
“WHO DO YOU RUN FOR?” Is such a powerful question when asked, it is astonishing to realize that everyone answers by giving a name of a loved one who is surviving cancer or lost the battle. I'll be running for all the survivors! Cathy Hendrick will be running for her Father, who lost the battle early in his life, Martha Henderson will be running for her Mother who is a breast cancer survivor. In our special video presentation, you can hear the stories shared by other mounted shooters. Find this link in our Photo Gallery. "Rundown For Life" gives us all an opprotunity to remember and support all those affected by cancer.
