The association is dedicated to raising money through this event to benefit cancer charities to eradicate cancer through research, education, diagnosis, treatment, and ultimately to find a cure for cancer.

Hello Everyone,
I'd like to explain why we have made changes to our staff. When I first kicked off the idea of having a mounted shooting fund-raiser for cancer, my plans were much smaller. Cathy and Johnnie Hendrick were the first to step up and say "we're gonna help!". Working with Cathy and Johnnie was a great opportunity for me, and I have the utmost respect for each of them. This event has grown and grown. With that growth, comes a lot of hard work that takes countless hours. As most of you know, Cathy and Johnnie organize the SASS World Championship (End of Trail) for mounted shooters. They also have their own club, the Roy Rogers Rangers. We completely understand why both of these wonderful people don't have more available time. I have worked in the music industry as a producer for concerts and special events since the early '90's, and I must admit working with these two individuals tops it all! Thank you Wildcat Kate and Johnnie Concho for the time we had together working on this production!
I understand that my name doesn't hold a lot of attention in the mounted shooting world and that's the way it rightfully should be. I've only been active in this sport for three years. I've helped and volunteered with local clubs in California... but that's not enough to establish recognition for a Match Director. I absolutely understand this, and that's why I have established a great committee and volunteers for this. For this event, we have established a "Match Director Team". I have surrounded myself with the top names in mounted shooting! Any official regulations and callings will be made as a team, not just one individual. I truly believe this is the fairest way to hold this match. The 2007 Match Directors team will consist of myself, Josh Brubaker, Dave Anderson. Our Official Range Master will be Fernando Vazquez, who will organize and lead all the Range Officers. The Score Keeping Team will be managed by Mary Brubaker. And I'm proud to say that Concha Wade has volunteered to be the Barn Manager. Thanks to all my committee leaders for all the great work!!!
In the last couple of weeks we've added very recognizable and respected names to "Rundown For Life" and the overall response of all members from every organization has been outstanding. People want to help with this cause. I assure you, this event is everything (and more) that I stated to everyone since the beginning. It's for a good cause, and God willing we can help save a life!
