RUNDOWN RODEOS PRESENTS
“RUNDOWN FOR LIFE”

Rundown Rodeos is proud to present “Rundown for Life”, its premier mounted shooting event bringing together the sports foremost, top-notch and famous mounted shooters from around the country. The blockbuster event will be held during cancer survivor’s week June 1-2-3, 2007, at California’s Industry Hills Expo Center, which is rapidly evolving into Los Angeles County’s most highly acclaimed live entertainment mecca. The Grand Arena proudly serves as the home of the Annual Industry Hills Charity Pro Rodeo, and now is home to Rundown Rodeos. The “Rundown for Life” will benefit our deserving charity, the American Cancer Society. 100% of net profits will be donated and funds raised from this production will benefit the American Cancer Society's free cancer patient service programs, cancer research activities, education and advocacy efforts . You are all invited to join us at this action packed, fun-filled, gala event!

The “Rundown for Life” is a Masters Tournament where distinguished mounted shooting competitors in ladies and men’s divisions 1-6 ride all breeds of horses and shoot two .45 caliber single action revolvers each loaded with 5 rounds of black powder blank ammunition at reactionary balloon targets set in random patterns called ‘stages’. Each competitor will be dedicating their competition by riding for a friend or loved one that has been a victim of cancer. The timed event involves strategy, the goal being penalty-free performance where rider and horse are challenged to bring forth blue-ribbon execution. Riders will compete in their respective divisions in a three-stage “Qualifier Match” on Friday and Saturday - June 1st and 2nd, 2007. The results of the “Qualifier Match” will reveal the top 25% in each division who will then be divided into four separate classifications (Men 1-3, Ladies 1-3 / Men 4-6, Ladies 4-6). These shooters will return Sunday, June 3rd, 2007 for a two-stage “Eliminator Match”. This is an exciting high-stakes competition where these outstanding athletes will be vying for an unprecedented cash prize purse of $70,000.00. The 1st place winners in each of the four classifications will be awarded a staggering $10,000.00 each with 2nd – 10th also winning cash awards! Immediately following the “Eliminator Match” the top twenty cowboys and cowgirls (10 each from Class 1-3, and Class 4-6 regardless of gender) will return for the “Top Gun Showdown”. After Top Gun Showdown, the finale of Sunday night’s showcase competition, we will declare the High Overall Champion of this Masters Tournament and who will drive away the winner of a 2007 Ford pickup truck.

Highlighting the three-day event will be the ‘Survivors Run’ held Saturday evening at 7:00pm in the Grand Arena. Many mounted shooters have suffered the ravages of cancer, and thankfully many have survived. Saturday night’s showcase exhibition will celebrate those mounted shooters that have survived their battle with cancer and are able to once again compete in the great sport of mounted shooting. These outstanding individuals are all winners and will each be awarded championship trophy buckles. After the survivor’s scores are tallied, a championship trophy saddle will be awarded to the fastest cowboy and cowgirl. And, our sponsors (Colt Manufacturing & AJ Horses) have generously donated a genuine Colt .45 caliber, single-action revolver to the reserve cowboy and cowgirl.

This spectacular event is flat out the most spectacular, bang-up, full tilt mounted shooting extravaganza ever produced in mounted shooting history. The all-weather Grand Arena, Industry Hills Expo Center’s main attraction, can seat over 5,000 spectators. It boasts a 45,000 sq. ft. floor, a scoreboard with four 70’ projector screens and a 10,000 watt fully equipped JBL/QSC sound system. The 125-acre gated facility is meticulously maintained and offers barns, outside arena facilities and spacious camping areas. It’s an outstanding venue and the ideal location for Rundown Rodeos prestigious and unprecedented mounted shooting cancer charity event.

In addition to cutting edge mounted shooting, the competitors and family will be treated to a formal cowboy black-tie dinner in the renowned Pavilion at Industry Hills Expo Center. “Rundown Rodeos” will serve up a full schedule of continuous daily entertainment by cowboy bands, a runway western fashion show, gun-twirling exhibitions, rope tricks and much more.
