
“Rundown For Life” gives us all a chance to raise cancer awareness.
Each competitor will be dedicating their competition and riding for a family member or friend
that has been a victim of cancer.
Here’s a sample of contestants that have already registered for “Rundown For Life”
and who they will proudly represent in the arena.

Gregg Garcia (M5 California) - “I’m riding for my good friend Kim who is currently battling cancer.
Everyone please pray for him!”
Kenda Lenseigne (L5 Washington) - "I will ride to honor the life of Eric Gates, who lost his battle to lung cancer in September of 2006. I will also be riding for Bill Philip, who WON!
Bill has been cancer free since September 2005. I'm glad to be involved with this match."
Mike Salmina (M3 California) - “I’m riding for my Dad who survived prostrate cancer.”
Larry Townsend (M4 Montana) - “I’m helping this event anyway I can.. Clinics, entertainment and
helping children with cancer ride my featured horse ‘Cowboy’. I may not compete because I’ll be doing everything I can to help! Cowboy and I will be there!”
Jerry Bestpitch (M5 California) - “I’m running in support for everyone who has been a victim of cancer!”
Wes Walton (M5 Wyoming) - “I ride with my Mother in my heart. In less than 8 months she lost
her battle from stomach cancer. She was only 39 yrs. Old.”
Dyan Gorman (L1 California) - “My Dad died of lung cancer 18 yrs. ago. He’s riding shotgun with me for this event!”
Chad Little (M6 Minnesota) - “My brother Charlie had stage 4 hodgkins disease. He's been cancer free
for over a year now. You bet I’m riding for him!”
Jimmy Allen (M6 Arizona) – “I’m running for support of all cancer victims.”
Emily Johnson (L1 Arizona) - “I’m so proud to ride for my Grandpa (Opa), who is a survivor of bladder cancer. I can’t image life without my Opa!”
Steven Wilson (M5 Ohio) - “I’m competing in the memory of my Great Grandma, Velma Wilcox.”
Ryan Henderson (M1 California) - “My Grandpa Paul is fighting prostrate cancer right now.
I’m only 13 yrs. old and may not win, but I am going to try my best cause my Grandpa
is coming to watch me compete!”
Kelly Alderson (L3 Arizona) - “I’m riding for support of this great cause and all victims of cancer.”
Cindy Ellet (L2 California) - “I so proud to ride for my real good friend. Barry Abrams is one of the greatest
trainers on the track! He's a survivor!”
Billy Montgomery (M3 Arizona) - “I’m running for Sally Miller.”
Natalie Johnson (L2 Arizona) - “My auntie was Marie Spavor. We used to go to her cabin in BC Canada for family reunions. I miss her and will ride in her memory.”
Melissa Dragoo (L4 Arizona) - “All kids with cancer!”
James Ellet (M3 California) - “I’m proud to ride in my Grandfather’s name, "Strawhat Charlie" Charles Ellet, Jr.”
Tammy Townsend (L4 Montana) “I can’t wait to come to California and be part of such a worthy cause! I ride for everyone who’s had cancer.”
Megan Spaulding (L3 Idaho) - "I am riding for my grandmother Ramona Callaham who is currently fighting breast cancer. I am very proud of her."
Ron Jakola (M3 Arizona) - “I support this match because many of my family members had to fight breast cancer. I ride for all of them, but especially for my lovely wife Patti! She’s a survivor!”
Ruben Gonzales - (M1 Arizona) - “I fully support this great cause and match. I am running for my
sister-in-law, Karen Kay Southard, who battled and survived squmacell carcinoma cancer.
There is no more sign of cancer!”
Deb Case (L2 California) - “My Grandmother died from breast cancer. I ride for Pauline Pucket’s memory!
God Bless her.”
Charlie Little (M4 Minnesota) - “Cancer sucks! I will run for all kids who have fought cancer!
I’m proud to compete in the Survivor’s match too.”
Grant McMaster (M5 Arizona) - “My dear friend, Michael Henderson, was like a father figure to me. He died from lung/colon cancer. I ride for him!”
Tricia McMaster (L4 Arizona) – “After 5 years of chemotherapy and breast surgery, my good friend (and ex-boss) is a survivor! I am running for Patty Collie!”
Patti Blomquist (L3 California) - “Me! And for everyone who has been diagnosed with Melanoma. As a survivor, this event touches my heart. Thank you!”
Jim Blomquist (M3 California) - “I’m running for my wife Patti and also for my Aunt Lynn Goff who died of uterine cancer. Everyone should register for this event!”
Gordy Alderson (M2 Arizona) – “I’m running for support and help finding a cure for cancer!”
Jerry Brown (M2 California) - “I was diagnosed with Basil Cell cancer and my wife lost her mother at a very young age to cancer. She would have been my Mother-in-Law."
Susie Montgomery (L3 Arizona) - “Two very special ladies, Dee Cervi and Sally Miller.”
Kevin Tighe (M2 California) - “My friend was just diagnosed with cancer. I won’t miss this event.
It’s such a great reason to saddle up!”
Krissy Graham (L3 Califonia) – “My Grandma was truly a friend of mine. She fought so hard but didn’t make it. I dedicate my competition in her name, Sissy O’Keefe.”
Barry Nadell (M2 California) - “My Father wasn't sick a day in his life and played tennis
until age 86 when suddenly cancer overtook his bones and
within 3 months he was gone. I miss his support, pride and love."
Alan Eggleston (M4 New Mexico) - “William Bang is my Father-in-law. He has been diagnosed
with colon cancer. He's a true cowboy and survivor! I support Robyn and
everyone involved in this match.”
Josh Brubaker (M5 California) - “I will be running in the memory of my late Grandmother, Loretta Baker
who died from breast cancer 8 years ago. My Mom and I are helping organize this event
because it’s a very good cause!”
Brittany Anderson (L5 California) - “I’m entering twice so I can ride for Robyn Renner who survived
eye cancer tumors, and for my Great Grandpa who died of lung cancer.
I am proud to be the Jr. Ambassador for Rundown Rodeos too!”
Jim Hansen (M5 South Dakota) - “Let’s all ride for support and a good cause! Let’s help American Cancer Society raise funds for a cure!”
Andra Olson (L5 Minnesota) - “I am so proud to be a part of this event, as a sponsor and competitor.
